This luxurious self catering house in St Mawes was completely rebuilt in 2010 and is one of the best places to stay in St Mawes. The house has extensive open plan living areas, high specification fixings and fixtures including an integrated through-house sound system, computer controlled heating, and night time illuminations on the decked area.   Panoramic views from the deck towards St Mawes Bay, St Anthony’s Head and the entrance to the Carrick Roads are simply outstanding as you will see from the photos..

The house sleeps nine and is perfect for larger families or two families taking their holiday in Cornwall together. Tideway is situated in an elevated position above the village but is still just a two minute walk from the shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants in the village via a path from the bottom of the garden leading onto Hillhead.

The whole house has been designed to make the most of the views. All the bedrooms have double doors with glazed balconies overlooking the bay, and the ground floor has vast folding, sliding glazed doors that lead out on to the extensive decked area.  In the garden, there’s a 6 person hot tub, a table tennis table and a boules pitch.

Ground floor
The entrance hall leads into a large living area, which can be split into two seperate rooms using folding doors (designed to give children their own space if required!) and with a double sided fireplace, comfortable sofas and TVs in both rooms. The sitting room leads onto the kitchen area which also has the large sliding doors leading onto the deck.  The outside decked area acts as an extension to the main living area providing a simply fantastic sense of space and airiness.
The kitchen, as you would expect, is fully equipped with Miele appliances.  A door towards the rear of the kitchen leads through to the utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and double door fridge/freezer, in turn leading onto the boot room with loads of space for hanging coats and stashing wellies. 

There’s also a large cloakroom/WC with lots more hanging space.

First Floor
All the bedrooms are on the first floor and consist of a master bedroom, a double bedroom, both with king size beds, a twin bedroom and a further triple bedroom with a single bed and a bunk bed.  The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a separate shower room between the other two bedrooms.

The house is equipped with internet via Wi-Fi, underfloor heating throughout and for the cooler months, an open fireplace. There are a number of televisions – two downstairs and one in the master bedroom.  The ground floor sound system plays through six flush ceiling speakers and has ipod integration.

Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are all included but guests need to bring their own beach towels. A cot and high chair are also available. The outside parking area, accessed through electric gates, has the capacity for 4 cars. Smoking and pets are not allowed on the property.

Friday is the arrival and departure day.
A £500 security deposit is required.
